Our Positions

This position performs a variety of paralegal duties to support assigned attorney(s).

Essential Functions and Responsibilities: -Maintain positive contact with clients -Draft and e-file (NJ) with the Court pleadings, including Claim Petitions and Motions Perform case management -Independently track deadlines– Draft Interrogatories, requests for discovery, etc. -Organize, review, and analyze medical records and discovery documents -Create settlement documents, demands, etc. -Manage and complete daily to-dos

Qualifications:

  • Workers’ Compensation experience
  • Computer Proficiency with working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook and FileVine (or similar document management system)
  • Must exhibit a high degree of initiative in managing multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized with the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to adapt to changes in workflow
  • Positive attitude
  • Bilingual – Spanish is a plus!

Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Assist in managing the financial operations of the law firm, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

Expense Management: Track and analyze expenses, ensuring they are properly allocated, recorded, and reported.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Assist in the processing of invoices, billings, payments, and collections in a timely and accurate manner.

Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team, attorneys, and administrative staff to ensure smooth financial operations and provide support as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience: 1-2 years of relevant experience in accounting is preferred.

Motivated and Driven: Strong ambition and desire to take on increasing responsibilities and grow within the organization.

Independent Worker: Self-motivated and capable of working autonomously to take ownership of financial responsibilities.

Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for accuracy and precision.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using financial software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools.

Integrity: Demonstrates a high level of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in handling financial matters.

Organization Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
